New R-300 Range Of Reflectorless Total Stations From Pentax
Following the worldwide success of its R-100 Reflectorless Total Stations, Pentax has announced the launch of their R-300 range of instruments. Initially, 9 models will be available offering customers a choice of accuracies and measuring systems. The models will comprise of 4 reflectorless instruments and 5 conventional ones and a choice of angular accuracies between 2” and 6”. The R-300 range has been designed and developed to give powerful performance combined with ease of use and contain a host of features unique to Pentax.
The Pentax R-300 range benefits from the following features:
¨ Reflectorless measuring capability of 180m with a visible dot laser pointer (R-322N/R-323N/R-325N/R-315N)
¨ Alphanumeric keyboard
¨ Electronic leveling vial
¨ Laser plummet
¨ IPX 6 water protection
¨ Triple focussing system including auto focus
¨ Absolute encoder
¨ Automatic atmospheric correction
¨ New telescope collimator site for easier targeting
¨ Choice of on board software packages for surveying and/or construction
¨ NiMh Battery providing up to 5 hours use from a single charge
¨ 7,500 point on-board memory
The newly developed LD Phase Differential system allows the user to measure distances without the need for a conventional prism. However reflector sheets and prism systems can be used to achieve an increased measuring range. The built in visible beam laser dot pointer ensures accurate targeting when using the non prism measuring function and is beneficial with interior construction and alignment projects as well as tunneling.
