The Pentax Electronic Theodolite ETH-05A / 10D ensures the reliable and accurate surveying results in angle measurement with a simple operation. Vertical and horizontal angles are displayed to 5" (10cc) or 10" (20cc) on the large LCD displays on both side of the alidade or on one side of the alidade. Angles can be transmitted to the PENTAX EDM MD-14/MD-20 or your field computer through the RS-232C interface.

Priority display of horizontal angle
Horizontal angle, which is the most used measurement, is given priority display on the ETH series. Horizontal and vertical angles can be observed simultaneously.

Easy-to-read display
Display panel has a large and easy-to-read segment LCD with back-light-illumination. Simple, logical keyboard and mode display provide maximum operator convenience.

Simplified operation
With a touch on the key, O setting of horizontal angle at any position as well as right and left readings can be simply performed.

90 deg (100g) indicating signal
Buzzer sounds at every 90 deg (100g) for easy right angle setting.

Easy slope setting
Vertical angle can be converted to percentage of slope by one touch of a key, very easy to check grade.

Automatic power-off function
Automatic power-off prevents unnecessary battery drainage. The remiaining battery capacity is indicated on the display to prevent the interruption of the work due to lack of capacity.

Repeat angle measurement (ETH-05A/10D)
A dual axis permits repeat angle measurement of horizontal angle. Number of repetitions and averaged value are displayed.

Automatic vertical compensator (ETH-05A)
built-in automatic compensator can compensate the instrument tilt to ensure precise vertical angle measurement. The out-of-range warning is displayed to eliminate erroneous measurement.
