The unshielded low frequency antennas are primarily used for deep penetration radar surveys. Optimized for measurements in field and forest terrain.

Common applications include: detection of soil and bedrock strata; cable, pipe, UST and void detection; archaeological investigations; bathymetry studies; glacial and polar investigations; sedimentological studies; etc. The unshielded antennas are separable in order to facilitate velocity and tomographic measurements.
