The field data as well as the geometry of the spreads are introduced in a build in worksheet that automatically calculates the apparent resistivities and geometry factors for Schlumberger, Wenner or pole-pole spreads. The electrical model may be introduced and optimized by the user using trial and error adjustment on the screen, or may be suggested automatically by the program (inverse modelling).
In both cases, the starting model may be adjusted automatically in a least square sense. During adjustment, any thickness or resistivity may be fixed, e.g. to take into account the results of a nearby drilling. With up to 20 layers, the number of layers is virtually unlimited.
The capability to show and print several soundings on the same graph allows You to compare the soundings of a region. This program automatically reads Geotrade, ABEM and IRIS files. The language may be chosen on the screen between French and English.
